With genre-TV faves Alfred Gough and Miles Millar (Smallville<\/a><\/em>) as creators and Tim Burton<\/a> (Beetlejuice<\/em>) within the director\u2019s chair, the brand new present Wednesday<\/a><\/em> tells a special form of Addams Family story, a \u201csleuthing, supernaturally infused mystery charting Wednesday Addams\u2019 years as a student at Nevermore Academy,\u201d as Netflix<\/a> says.<\/p>\n

Jenna Ortega<\/a> performs the eponymous teen as she \u201cattempts to master her emerging psychic ability, thwart a monstrous killing spree that has terrorized the local town, and solve the murder mystery that embroiled her parents 25 years ago \u2014 all while navigating her new and very tangled relationships at Nevermore,\u201d the streaming service provides.<\/p>\n

Better but, the Wednesday<\/em> solid even consists of Christina Ricci<\/a>, who performed the character in two big-screen motion pictures. \u201cNobody stands out from the crowd like Wednesday Addams,\u201d Gough instructed TV Insider<\/a> in September. \u201cWhat really sets the show apart is that Addams Family humor.\u201d<\/p>\n
