During a standard inspection, anti-drug agents noticed several suitcases being unloaded from the aircraft. Inside, they discovered 261.6 kilograms of “premium” marijuana, known for its high THC concentration. Authorities estimate the street value of the shipment, believed to be bound for the illegal market in Brazil<\/strong>, at roughly $3.6 million<\/strong>. SENAD reported that a single kilogram of the drug could sell for as much as $14,000 in Brazil.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Initially, three other US citizens were detained at the scene: Marisol Rivas<\/strong> (39), Troy Anthony V\u00e1squez<\/strong> (42), and David Thomas Wise<\/strong> (58). Prosecutor Ingrid Cubilla told reporters that Brown was freed because “there are no elements to speak of suspicion of his participation.” Brown reportedly said he was simply hired to work as a co-pilot for the flight and had no idea about the hidden narcotics.
