HOLLYWOOD, CA<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Your trusty rock and roll correspondent Jim Stinman here, reporting from my incredibly expensive and tiny rented studio apartment where the only thing “metal” is the plumbing. I just choked on my avocado toast scrolling through the news, and let me tell you, the geriatric millennial in me is screaming with joy. The gods of guyliner and breakdowns have answered our prayers!<\/p>\n

\ud83c\udfb8\u00a0The Mount Rushmore of My Middle Age Crisis Tour is Happening!<\/strong><\/p>\n

That\u2019s right, folks. In a move that has orthopedists and audiologists across the East Coast high-fiving, a tour for the ages has been announced. It\u2019s dubbed\u00a0\u201cThe Mount Rushmore of Metal Core Tour\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0by the bands themselves, though I\u2019d personally call it\u00a0\u201cThe \u2018I Can\u2019t Believe My Lower Back Survived This\u2019 Tour.\u201d<\/strong>\u00a02<\/span>11<\/span>.<\/p>\n

The legendary\u00a0Darkest Hour<\/strong>\u00a0is leading the charge for their\u00a030th anniversary<\/strong>, which means they\u2019ve been heavy longer than some of their fans have been alive. They\u2019ve promised to play\u00a0\u201cALL THE SONGS!\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0which, if my math is correct, should be a three-day set that requires a doctor\u2019s note and several bags of ice to get through. They\u2019re calling it a “set full of bangers, surprises, and everything in between.” I\u2019m personally hoping the surprise is a group chiropractic session on stage after the third song\u00a02<\/span>12<\/span>.<\/p>\n

    Bleeding Through<\/strong>: Celebrating the\u00a020th anniversary<\/strong>\u00a0of their album\u00a0The Truth<\/em>. The truth is, we\u2019re all old now, but the breakdowns on that record still hit harder than the reality of my 401(k) statement\u00a02<\/span>6<\/span>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    God Forbid<\/strong>: Will be playing their 2005 classic\u00a0IV: Constitution of Treason<\/em>\u00a0in full. This is a concept album about humanity repeating its mistakes, which is ironically exactly what I\u2019ll be doing when I throw my back out in the pit during the first song\u00a04<\/span>11<\/span>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    Nora<\/strong>: The lovely gentlemen from New Jersey are rounding out the bill. They\u2019re not celebrating a specific anniversary, but their job is to\u00a0\u201censure that these shows will be ripping and unforgettable from the first note.\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0I think that\u2019s code for \u201cwarm-up act that will make you feel even more ancient\u201d\u00a05<\/span>11<\/span>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
