Hey everyone, big film news just dropped from Spain!<\/p>\n

Sideral, a Madrid-based production and distribution company that just launched last year at the Berlinale film festival, is behind a powerful new movie called\u00a0\u201cLos Relatos\u201d<\/strong>. It\u2019s a drama focused on the heavy topic of femicide\u2014and it\u2019s got some serious star power.<\/p>\n

The film is directed by Miguel del Arco and stars Juan Diego Botto (you might know him from\u00a0The Room Next Door<\/em>), Marta Etura (Cell 211<\/em>), and Ainara Elejalde (Mr. No One<\/em>).<\/p>\n

Sideral isn\u2019t just producing\u2014they\u2019re also handling worldwide sales and distribution in Spain. Shooting starts this September, and the plan is to release the film late next year.<\/p>\n

So what\u2019s \u201cLos Relatos\u201d about?<\/p>\n

It follows a man named Pablo (played by Botto) who returns to his hometown after serving time for killing his wife. The story doesn\u2019t let anyone off easy\u2014it asks tough questions about second chances, guilt, and whether someone like Pablo can ever really be forgiven. It\u2019s up to the audience to decide.<\/p>\n

Director Miguel del Arco said writing the script pushed him into some deep and uncomfortable places. He shared:
\n\u201cTrying to put oneself in another\u2019s place is, I believe, the only way we can move forward as a society.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

The producers are calling the project \u201cbold\u201d and \u201cnecessary.\u201d It\u2019s definitely not an easy watch\u2014but it sounds like it\u2019s going to make people talk.<\/p>\n

Sideral might be new, but they\u2019re already making waves. They launched with a packed lineup of 22 projects, including other upcoming films like\u00a0Broken Lines<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0I Have Electric Dreams<\/em>\u2014which won big at Locarno.<\/p>\n

They\u2019re also bringing us future releases like Michel Franco\u2019s\u00a0Dreams<\/em>\u00a0with Jessica Chastain, and\u00a0The Chronology of Water<\/em>\u00a0with Imogen Poots.<\/p>\n

So keep an eye out for \u201cLos Relatos.\u201d It\u2019s shaping up to be one of the most talked-about films coming out of Spain next year.<\/p>\n
