Let\u2019s be real for a sec:\u00a0The Amazing Spider-Man<\/strong>\u00a0duology was a bit of a hot mess. It was the cinematic equivalent of trying to build IKEA furniture without the instructions\u2014a lot of frantic scrambling, some weird-looking results, and ultimately, everyone agreed it was probably better to just start over.<\/p>\n

But! Like finding a perfectly good meatball in the wreckage of a collapsed Billy bookcase, there were two shining gems in that chaos:\u00a0Andrew Garfield<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Emma Stone<\/strong>. Their electric, heart-eyes-emoji chemistry as Peter and Gwen is pretty much the only thing everyone agrees on. They were so good, they almost made us forget about the plot with\u2026 whatever that was with Peter\u2019s parents and the secret cross-species genetics.<\/p>\n

So, does Emma Stone look back on her web-slinging days with regret? In a recent chat with\u00a0Vogue<\/em>, she revealed the one part of the superhero life she absolutely could not stan: the absolutely bonkers press tours.<\/p>\n

\u201cI will say the press tours for these films\u2026I don\u2019t know how people do it,\u201d Stone admitted, probably while shuddering at a distant memory. \u201cI remember it being nine countries in two weeks. You\u2019re functioning in a state of jet lag previously unknown to you.\u00a0I felt truly psychotic the entire time. I\u2019m half dead.<\/strong>\u201d<\/p>\n

Nine countries. Two weeks. That\u2019s not a press tour; that\u2019s\u00a0The Amazing Race<\/em>\u00a0if the only challenge was trying to remember which city you\u2019re in and whether you\u2019ve already told the \u201cSo, Andrew is really funny\u2026\u201d anecdote to this particular reporter yet. We\u2019d feel psychotic, too.<\/p>\n

So, No Regerts?… Er, Regrets?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

But fear not, Spidey stans! While the press junkets left her feeling like a zombie with a great blowout, Emma Stone doesn’t actually hate her time as Gwen Stacy. In fact, she looks back on it with a big ol\u2019 smile.<\/p>\n

Turns out, the best part wasn\u2019t the spandex or the swinging (though that\u2019s pretty cool), but the people she got to hang with.<\/p>\n

\u201cI really loved doing \u2018Spider-Man\u2019,\u201d she said. \u201cI loved everybody I worked with. I met Andrew [Garfield] there. I met Sally Field. Marc Webb was wonderful. It was a really special time in my life.\u201d<\/p>\n

She then dropped some serious wisdom: \u201cThat\u2019s a recurring theme: The people more than the film itself is what sticks with me for so long. I only have fond memories of this experience.\u201d<\/p>\n

Aww. So, to recap: Making the movies? Great! Promoting the movies across nine time zones in a sleep-deprived haze? A one-way ticket to Psychoticville.<\/p>\n

This is actually fantastic news for all the fans who still hold out hope for a cameo in\u00a0*Spider-Man: No Way Home 2: Even More Way Home*. If her memories are mostly fond, maybe she\u2019d be down to swing by again! She\u2019d probably just demand a\u00a0much<\/em>\u00a0shorter press tour. Maybe just one, very comfy, interview from her couch.<\/p>\n
