Ole Miss freshman edge rusher Corey Adams was shot and killed in Cordova, Tenn., late Saturday evening. He was 18.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office stated Sunday that it was investigating a capturing that occurred outdoors of a residence round 10:14 p.m. on Saturday evening. Five males have been shot, with 4 of the victims listed in non-critical situation.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

Deputies carried out life-saving measures on Adams, till Shelby County Fire personnel arrived and pronounced him deceased on the scene. There is now an energetic murder investigation into the case.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

“We’re heartbroken by the passing of Corey Adams. Our ideas are along with his household, mates, and all who knew and liked him,” Ole Miss wrote in a social media put up. <\/p>\n<\/section>\n

The program shared a press release on his passing under that.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

“We are devastated to study that Corey Adams, a freshman on the group, handed away final evening in Cordova, Tennessee. While our program is making an attempt to deal with his tragic loss, our ideas are along with his family members throughout this extremely troublesome time,” the assertion learn. “Out of respect for his household, we is not going to be commenting additional right now. Adams was a three-star recruit within the Class of 2025 and performed highschool soccer at Edna Karr in New Orleans.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n
