Hugh Jackman\u2019s<\/a> estranged spouse Deborra-Lee Furness is breaking her silence simply days after formally submitting for divorce from the Deadpool & Wolverine\u00a0<\/em>actor.<\/p>\n

Nearly two years after the couple introduced their separation, Furness, 69, filed for divorce from Jackman, 56, on May 23.<\/p>\n

In a press release to U.Ok. publication The Daily Mail<\/a>, Furness stated her \u201cheart and compassion goes out to everyone who has traversed the traumatic journey of betrayal.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a profound wound that cuts deep, however I believe in a higher power and that God\/the universe, whatever you relate to as your guidance, is always working FOR us,\u201d she stated.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis belief has helped me navigate the breakdown of an almost three-decade marriage. I have gained much knowledge and wisdom through this experience. Even when we are presented with apparent adversity, it is leading us to our greatest good, our true purpose,\u201d the actress and producer added.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt can hurt, but in the long run, returning to yourself and living within your own integrity, values and boundaries is liberation and freedom,\u201d Furness stated.<\/p>\n

She stated the \u201cone thing\u201d she has discovered is \u201cthat none of this is personal\u201d and that \u201cwe are all on our individual journeys and I believe that the relationships in our lives are not random.\u201d<\/p>\n

Furness and Jackman, who share children Oscar, 24, and Ava, 19, obtained married in 1996 earlier than saying their amicable separation in 2023 following 27 years of marriage.<\/p>\n

In a joint assertion in September 2023, the previous couple stated, \u201cWe have been blessed to share almost 3 decades together as husband and wife in a wonderful, loving marriage. Our journey now is shifting and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth.\u201d<\/p>\n
