\n\tMore than 35 years later, John Goodman<\/a> is saying goodbye to Dan Conner.<\/p>\n

\n\tWith the two-part collection finale of The Conners<\/a><\/em> airing Wednesday at 8\/7c on ABC<\/a>, the Emmy winner mentioned the seven-season revival has passed by \u201cso fast\u201d as he opened up about bidding farewell to the patriarchal character he originated on Roseanne<\/a><\/em> in 1988.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cIt\u2019s really hard. It\u2019s something I\u2019m going to miss for a while. I\u2019m old and resistant to change,\u201d he informed People<\/a><\/em>, including: \u201cIt was so exciting when we got this together and it seems like it was two weeks ago. Showing up every day and just being here with everybody. It\u2019s a great place to work.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tGoodman mentioned, \u201cIt\u2019s just being here every day and like [my costar] Jay [R. Ferguson] said, we just come in and laugh a lot. And it\u2019s hard.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tAfter ABC<\/a> gave the collection an abbreviated renewal<\/a> final May for its seventh and ultimate season, Goodman mentioned he\u2019ll \u201cbe grateful for a long time\u201d that the community gave them the \u201ccourtesy\u201d of permitting them to complete the present.<\/p>\n
