\n\tEmilio Estevez<\/a> is making some large revelations in his newest interview, the place he discusses writing a brand new\u00a0Mighty Ducks<\/em>\u00a0sequel and shares\u00a0<\/span>his expertise on the set of\u00a0St. Elmo\u2019s Fire<\/em><\/span>.<\/p>\n

\n\tOne of Estevez\u2019s most memorable roles was enjoying Coach Bombay within the 1992 movie The Mighty Ducks<\/a><\/em>. The actor reprised his position within the Disney+ sequence\u00a0The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers<\/a><\/em>, however left the present after the primary season<\/a> because of \u201cnothing mor<\/span>e than a good old-fashioned contract dispute\u201d in addition to \u201ca myriad of creative differences.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI wanted to make up for all of the disasters that happened on the Game Changers<\/em> series,\u201d he mentioned.<\/p>\n

\n\tEstevez mentioned the \u201cfeature script\u201d would have \u201cCoach Bombay coming back [and] being pulled back in by Josh Jackson\u2019s character and Kenan Thompson\u2019s character to coach a new team: an expansion team for the professional women\u2019s hockey league. So it would be an all-girl team.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe actor goes into element that \u201cwhen we discover Bombay, he\u2019s coaching roller derby, and so he says, \u2018My girls are going with me. They have to have a shot.\u2019 And it was charming, and contemporary, and cool.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tDespite his enthusiasm for a Mighty Ducks<\/em> sequel, Estevez mentioned that Disney instructed him that they didn\u2019t need to pursue that concept.<\/p>\n

\n\tDuring the identical interview, Horowitz requested Estevez for \u201cthe worst note a director has ever given\u201d him, which made him recall his time on the set of 1985\u2019s St. Elmo\u2019s Fire<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cHave a good f***ing time,\u201d Estevez mentioned, director Joel Schumacher<\/a> instructed him because the filmmaker was \u201cscreaming at the top of his lungs.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cTo go from John Hughes [director of The Breakfast Club<\/em>], who was collaborative, who was a mentor in many ways, who was calm, listened, to Joel, who was wildly insecure and was a nightmare on set and was a bully\u2026 And to have that happen in the same year was, and I vowed never to speak to my actors that way if I ever got a chance to direct. In 1984, I thought this was the best lesson a young actor who wants to direct could ever get. Thank you Joel,\u201d Estevez mentioned.<\/p>\n
