INXS<\/a><\/strong> have continued the celebrations for the fortieth anniversary of their seminal album, Listen Like Thieves<\/em><\/a><\/strong>, with a brand new \u201c2025 Mix\u201d of the album\u2019s title observe. It\u2019s set to be launched on May 9.<\/p>\n Other thrilling treasures unearthed for the deluxe version which have already been launched embody: \u201cKiss the Dirt (Studio Demo)<\/a><\/strong>,\u201d \u201cBiting Bullets (Live From Royal Albert Hall)<\/a><\/strong>,\u201d and a demo of \u201cThis Time.\u201d<\/p>\n The deluxe version of Listen Like Thieves<\/em> fortieth Anniversary spans one LP and three CDs. The package deal features a model new stereo mixture of the unique album by Giles Martin and Paul Hicks on each vinyl and CD, from which Martin created a Dolby ATMOS combine. There are additionally 19 beforehand unreleased demos and outtakes curated by Martin, in addition to a rarity from the BBC archives: a dwell set recorded at London\u2019s Royal Albert Hall in 1986. Fans can stay up for contemporary in-depth liner notes, together with a brand new interview with the band by journalist Paul Sexton.<\/p>\n Listen Like Thieves<\/em> noticed INXS soar into the worldwide consciousness, establishing the band as worldwide rock royalty and setting the stage for additional glories down the road. It marked the band\u2019s first challenge with producer Chris Thomas, who would turn out to be a trusted collaborator for years to return. The album grew to become the launchpad for \u201cWhat You Need,\u201d the funk-rock smash that grew to become INXS\u2019s first Top 5 hit on the Billboard Hot 100. (The tune finally went on to double platinum standing within the US.)<\/p>\n \u201cListen Like Thieves<\/em>\u00a0was an important moment for us,\u201d says keyboardist and multi-instrumentalist Andrew Farriss, who co-wrote a lot of the album with late INXS frontman Michael Hutchence. \u201cIt stepped up what was possible, and also Chris Thomas stepped up what was possible as a record producer for us.\u201d Lead guitarist Tim Farriss, Andrew\u2019s brother, provides, \u201cIt was a real interesting milestone in our career because we were on this sort of rise at that point, and we were constantly touring. We were on the cusp, if you like.\u201d<\/p>\n Martin, who oversaw the brand new mixes at Abbey Road, describes\u00a0Listen Like Thieves<\/em>\u00a0as \u201ca really, really good album, this,\u201d persevering with, \u201cIt could be my favorite album of theirs, because it\u2019s not so packed with the singles, as it were. To me, this album in some ways has more depth to it, and I love it. I just hope this stimulates a whole load of new fans.
