Leah Remini<\/a> has shared an emotional and heartfelt tribute to her \u201cclosest confidant\u201d Mike Rinder<\/a>, following his loss of life<\/a> over the weekend.<\/p>\n

\u201cOn Sunday, we lost a giant, and I lost a man who was more than a friend \u2013 he was family,\u201d she wrote about her good friend<\/a> and co-worker, who had joined her on a multi-year, multi-platform endeavour to reveal alleged abuses by the Church of Scientology.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s impossible to imagine the last 13 years of my life without Mike Rinder,\u201d Remini mentioned. \u201cWhen I left Scientology<\/a>, Mike was one of the first people I turned to.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cTogether, we embarked on an incredible journey that included The Aftermath<\/em> and our podcast, Fair Game<\/em>,\u201d Remini continued. \u201cBut Mike was so much more than my partner in this fight \u2013 he was my brother, my father, and my best friend.\u201d<\/p>\n

Rinder and Remini teamed up after each leaving Scientology, collaborating on the A&E docuseries Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath<\/em>\u00a0and the podcast Fair Game<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\u201cMike saved my life and the life of my daughter and he stood by me through battles that felt insurmountable,\u201d she wrote<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Rinder\u2019s spouse, Christie Collbran, introduced his loss of life on Sunday, Jan. 5, through Instagram<\/a>. Rinder was 69, and whereas his explanation for loss of life has not been confirmed, he had been identified with superior esophageal most cancers in 2023.<\/p>\n

Before Rinder left the Church of Scientology in 2007 and have become one of many loudest whistleblowers<\/a>, pulling again the curtain on its interior workings, he served in varied government roles throughout the church, together with the worldwide spokesperson, head of the Office of Special Affairs and a member of the board of administrators of the Church of Scientology International.<\/p>\n
