I\u2019m immediately feeling like my intuition doesn\u2019t mean anything here. That\u2019s a killer for me.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tPearce added, \u201cIt was the first time I really felt that there was not just a disconnect, but a kind of greater power up there that you couldn\u2019t even really talk to.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe actor beforehand speculated that one Warner Bros. exec \u201cjust didn\u2019t believe in me as an actor\u201d as he revealed the unnamed go well with blocked him from working<\/a> with Christopher Nolan<\/a> after their team-up on the psychological thriller Memento<\/em> (2000).<\/p>\n

But there was an executive at Warner Bros. who quite openly said to my agent, \u2018I don\u2019t get Guy Pearce. I\u2019m never going to get Guy Pearce. I\u2019m never going to employ Guy Pearce.\u2019 So, in a way, that\u2019s good to know. I mean, fair enough; there are some actors I don\u2019t get. But it meant I could never work with Chris.\u201d<\/p>\n
