Elton John<\/a> has revealed that he\u2019s bodily unable to see the brand new musical for which he wrote the music, saying that he has misplaced nearly all of his eyesight after struggling an eye fixed an infection.<\/p>\n

The singer-songwriter attended the opening evening of The Devil Wears Prada<\/a><\/em> in London on Sunday.<\/p>\n

\u201cI haven\u2019t been able to come to many of the previews because, as you know, I have lost my eyesight. So it\u2019s hard for me to see it. But I love to hear it and boy it sounded good tonight,\u201d he informed the viewers from the stage, whereas thanking his husband David Furnish, \u201cwho has been my rock.\u201d<\/p>\n

In September, John revealed {that a} extreme eye an infection he contracted in France over the summer season had left him with \u201conly limited vision\u201d in a single eye and completely with out eyesight within the different.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am healing, but it\u2019s an extremely slow process and it will take some time before sight returns to the impacted eye,\u201d he wrote in an Instagram submit on the time.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am so grateful for the excellent team of doctors and nurses and my family, who have taken such good care of me over the last several weeks.\u201d<\/p>\n

Unfortunately, I lost my eyesight in my right eye in July because I had an infection in the south of France, and it\u2019s been four months now since I haven\u2019t been able to see. And my left eye\u2019s not the greatest. So there\u2019s hope and encouragement, and it will be OK, but I\u2019m kind of stuck at the moment,\u201d he informed Robin Roberts.<\/p>\n

\u201cBecause I can do one thing like this [interview], however going into the studio and recording, I don\u2019t know as a result of I can\u2019t see a lyric, for a begin. We\u2019re taking initiative to try to get it higher, however in the mean time, that\u2019s actually what we\u2019re concentrating on. It\u2019s by no means lucky for something like this to occur, and it type of floored me. I can\u2019t see something. I can\u2019t learn something. I can\u2019t watch something.<\/p>\n
