\n\tAs John Oliver<\/a> recapped the Paris Olympics<\/a> and the 2024 presidential race<\/a> on Sunday, Donald Trump<\/a> offered some baffling fodder.<\/p>\n \n\tThe comic opened this weekend\u2019s episode of Last Week Tonight<\/a><\/em> with a clip of the Republican candidate\u2019s \u201cdisastrous appearance\u201d earlier than the National Association of Black Journalists, the place he made unintelligible statements about Vice President Kamala Harris<\/a>\u2018 ethnicity.<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cShe was always of Indian heritage, and she was only promoting Indian heritage,\u201d the previous president stated within the clip. \u201cI didn\u2019t know she was Black until a number of years ago when she happened to turn Black, and now she wants to be known as Black.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tOliver then mused, \u201cI mean this in the most disparaging way as possible: That went about as well as could be expected. Vance<\/a>, a man with three biracial children was thinking while watching Trump there. Although, you know what? He was probably thinking, \u2018Look at that luscious upholstery. Do you think those cushions come all the way off?’\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tOliver then switched to the latest Olympic opening ceremony<\/a>, which prompted controversy over its perceived recreation of Leonardo da Vinci\u2019s \u2018The Last Supper<\/a>\u2018 with drag queens (the efficiency was really impressed by Greek mythology<\/a>).<\/p>\n
