Dylan Minnette<\/strong> <\/a>revealed the rationale why he stepped away from performing in a brand new interview. Over the previous few years, the 27-year-old actor rapidly grew to become one of many greatest Gen-Z icons in Hollywood because of 13 Reasons Why<\/em><\/a>, a starring position that he was \u201cvery fortunate\u201d to have, Dylan insisted.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was on 13 Reasons Why,<\/em> and it was really popular and definitely reached a peak in \u2014 so far \u2014 of what I\u2019ve had in acting,\u201d Dylan defined throughout a current interview on the Zach Sang Show<\/em><\/a>. \u201cBut it also started to feel like a bit of a job. And I was in a very fortunate position where \u2014 it was always fun for me, always really inspiring, but then as soon as it was just starting to feel like just a job, I was like, well, I feel like [my band] Wallows and music is this passion that we have always had as a group to really take all the way, and as far as we can.\u201d<\/p>\n

The hit Netflix collection premiered in 2017 and went on for 4 seasons. Dylan performed Clay Jensen within the present.<\/p>\n

The Indiana native added that he now feels \u201clike [he is] in a position now where [he] can just kind of do that for a while and get this the farthest it can be.\u201d However, he doubled down in noting that he’s \u201cincredibly privileged and lucky to be in a position where it\u2019s like, \u2018This is starting to feel like a job, so [he\u2019s] gonna do this now, and this\u2019ll be [his] job.’\u201d<\/p>\n
