\n\tIndia\u2019s Zee Studios<\/strong> has set a late November theatrical launch for \u201cDhadak 2<\/a>,\u201d<\/strong> a romance movie difficult societal norms.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe movie is a sequel to Nagraj Manjule\u2019s 2016 Marathi-language hit \u201cDhadak,\u201d that was itself a Hindi remake of the Marathi movie \u201cSairat.\u201d The 2016 title starred Ishaan Khatter and Janhvi Kapoor, in addition to the late Sridevi. \u201cDhadak 2\u201d relies on Mari Selvaraj\u2019s 2018 Tamil-language hit \u201cPariyerum Perumal.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe new movie is directed by Shazia Iqbal<\/strong> (Prime Video\u2019s \u201cLove Storiyaan\u201d) and stars Siddhant Chaturvedi<\/strong> (\u201cKho Gaye Hum Kahan\u201d) and Triptii Dimri<\/strong> (\u201cAnimal\u201d) in lead roles. Plot particulars had been scarce, although Zee teased it with the logline: [the film] \u201cexplores barriers of class and status stitched in the minds of societies, underscoring a narrative of love that can never be fulfilled. Or can it?\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tProduction is by Zee Studios, Karan Johar\u2019s Dharma Productions<\/strong>, and Cloud 9 Pictures<\/strong> and is slated for launch on Nov. 22, 2024, a slot that falls neatly between Diwali and Christmas.<\/p>\n
