Jared Padalecki<\/strong> <\/a>is hanging up his cowboy hat for now. The 41-year-old Walker<\/em> actor introduced that his CW sequence<\/a> was not renewed for a fifth season in a brand new assertion, which he shared to Instagram<\/a> on Wednesday, May 22. In his submit, Jared included a clip of a cowboy hat.<\/p>\n

\u201cHowdy y\u2019all. It is with a heavy heart that I share this news with you,\u201d Jared started in his caption. \u201c#Walker will not be airing on #CW for a fifth season. It\u2019s a tough piece of news to be sure, but we are SO thankful for the #WalkerFamily that has been built, both on set and off.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Supernatural<\/em><\/a> alum went on to notice that he and the forged and crew of Walker<\/em> \u201chave felt the love and support from the entire #WalkerFamily, and we will be forever grateful.\u201d<\/p>\n

At the top of his Instagram announcement, Jared referred to as the sequence an \u201chonor to be a part of.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cOur gratitude and love for the entire #WalkerFamily will live forever,\u201d he wrote. \u201cIt has been a unique honor to be a part of the cast and crew (and fandom!) that helped #Walker tell the stories that we told. I will forever smile on the years I got to spend with the cast and crew and studio and network and fandom that made this all possible. Til we ride again [sic].\u201d<\/p>\n

The CW additionally launched a press release in regards to the present\u2019s cancelation. Per Variety<\/em><\/a>, the community acknowledged, \u201cWe want to thank the entire cast, crew, writers, directors and producers of Walker<\/em> for their hard work and dedication over four incredible seasons. We also want to give a special thanks to star and executive producer Jared Padalecki, who has been a member of The CW family for over 20 years and was integral to some of the biggest hits on the network.\u201d<\/p>\n

The outlet reported that the sequence\u2019 cancelation comes amid the community\u2019s structural modifications. The CW\u2019s new homeowners, Nexstar, has shifted away from scripted TV reveals and towards \u201clow-cost foreign imports and co-productions as well as sports and unscripted series,\u201d in response to Variety<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Walker<\/em> premiered in January 2021. The present was a reboot of the Nineties western drama sequence Walker, Texas Ranger<\/em>. The reboot sequence forged included Lindsey Morgan<\/strong>, Keegan Allen<\/strong>, Molly Hagan<\/strong> and Jared\u2019s actual spouse, Genevieve Padalecki<\/strong><\/a>, in a recurring function.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
