Chris Hemsworth<\/strong><\/a> is trying again on his Thor: Love and Thunder<\/em> efficiency with regret. The 40-year-old Marvel Cinematic Universe hero<\/a> criticized his on-screen portrayal throughout a brand new interview as a \u201cparody\u201d of himself.<\/p>\n

\u201cI got caught up in the improv and the wackiness, and I became a parody of myself,\u201d Chris informed Vanity Fair<\/em> <\/a>in an interview revealed on Tuesday, April 30. \u201cI didn\u2019t stick the landing.\u201d<\/p>\n

While reflecting on his 2022 movie, Chris admitted that at this level in his profession, he had \u201cbeen trying to muscle and beat things into existence for so long, out of obsession and desperation to build this career, and I was just exhausted.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI was worried about everything,\u201d he confessed. \u201cNothing was as enjoyable as it once was, or I had imagined it was. I was making back-to-back movies and doing the press tours, and I was married and had three young kids, and it was all happening at the same time in a very short window.\u201d<\/p>\n

Chris shares his children<\/a>, daughter India and sons Sasha and Tristan<\/a>, along with his spouse, Elsa Pataky<\/strong>.<\/a> Further into his interview, the Thor<\/em> franchise star supplied extra context into his mindset on the time that Love and Thunder<\/em> was launched.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou\u2019re sort of just running on fumes, and then you\u2019re showing up to something with little in the tank and you start to pick things apart,\u201d he stated, earlier than operating via the questions he had requested himself. \u201cWhy am I doing this film? Why isn\u2019t this script better? Why didn\u2019t that director call me for that or why didn\u2019t I get considered for this role? Why don\u2019t I get the call-up from [Martin<\/strong>] Scorsese<\/strong><\/a> or [Quentin<\/strong>] Tarantino<\/strong>? I had begun to take it all too serious and too personal.\u201d<\/p>\n

Admittedly, Chris added, his thoughts would begin racing with self-doubt, which impacted his moments with relations and buddies.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy mum would come over for a cup of coffee, and she would have to snap her fingers, and go, \u2018Chris, where are ya? Come on, I\u2019m here,’\u201d he famous. \u201cThe chatter in my head got so intense \u2014 and then the sense of guilt that every time I\u2019d leave a dinner with parents or a friend, I\u2019d say, \u2018God, I wasn\u2019t even there. I just spent the time bitching or complaining.\u2019 There\u2019s a narcissism to it. How many more years are we going to have this conversation? Like, just shut up, Chris.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
