Halle Bailey<\/strong><\/a> is powering by a \u201csevere\u201d interval of postpartum miserable following the beginning of her child boy, Halo<\/a>. The 24-year-old Little Mermaid<\/em> star received candid in a current Snapchat video about her expertise, noting that this has \u201cnothing to do\u201d along with her son, whom she shares with boyfriend DDG<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have severe, severe postpartum [depression],\u201d Halle stated within the clip final week, in response to an Instagram<\/a> fan account that reshared her publish. \u201cAnd I don\u2019t know if any new moms can relate, but it\u2019s to the point where it\u2019s really bad, and it\u2019s hard for me to be separated from my baby for more than 30 minutes at a time before I start to kind of freak out.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Color Purple<\/em> actress then identified that \u201cfeeling normal in [her] own body\u201d has \u201cbeen hard\u201d for her.<\/p>\n

\u201cI feel like a completely different person when I look in the mirror,\u201d Halle defined. \u201cI just feel like I\u2019m in a whole new body, and I don\u2019t know who I am. \u2026\u00a0I didn\u2019t realize how serious of a thing it actually was. Now, going through it, it feels like you\u2019re swimming in this ocean that\u2019s, like, the biggest waves you\u2019ve ever felt, and you\u2019re trying not to drown.\u201d<\/p>\n

Despite the tough bodily and psychological expertise, Halle insisted this \u201chas nothing to do with my baby. It has everything to do with me and who I am right now.\u201d<\/p>\n

Later within the clip, the \u201cAngel\u201d artist identified that she needed to share her story after seeing \u201churtful\u201d feedback<\/a> about her on-line.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s honestly really crazy to me that people would feel the need to say such hurtful things,\u201d Halle stated. \u201cNormally, I\u2019m OK. I\u2019ll see it \u2014 and it will hurt my feelings \u2014 but I won\u2019t say anything. I just suck it up, swallow my pride and wish that person well. But today, I couldn\u2019t because it grows something in me to bring awareness to. \u2026\u00a0You never know what somebody else is going through especially someone who just had a baby.\u201d<\/p>\n
