Halle Bailey<\/strong> is opening up and talking about her expertise with \u201csevere, severe\u201d postpartum despair.<\/p>\n According to PEOPLE<\/a>, the first-time mom took to Snapchat final week to share a video message with followers. Entertainment Tonight<\/a> provides that the clip<\/a> was then circulated by a social media consumer on Instagram on Monday, April 22.<\/p>\n In the clip, Bailey reportedly started her statements by explaining how she was \u201ctriggered\u201d by social media feedback. Ultimately, the 24-year-old went on to make a revelation to Snapchat viewers.<\/p>\n \u201cI have severe, severe postpartum [depression], and I don\u2019t know if any new moms can relate,\u201d she defined. \u201cBut it\u2019s to the point where it\u2019s really bad, and it\u2019s hard for me to be separated from my baby for more than 30 minutes at a time before I start to kind of freak out.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n Bailey defined that her boyfriend and son\u2019s father, DDG, has been the \u201cmost amazing daddy in the world.\u201d Additionally, she shared that their new child son, Halo, is \u201cperfect.\u201d<\/p>\n However, she defined that one factor has been \u201chard\u201d for her to regulate to.<\/p>\n \u201cHalo is a miracle. He is perfect. He is beautiful. When I look at him, I cry because of how special he is. The only thing that\u2019s been hard for me is feeling normal in my own body,\u201d Bailey defined. \u201cI feel like a completely different person. When I look in the mirror, I just feel like I\u2019m in a whole new body. Like, I don\u2019t know who I am.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n From there, Bailey went on to elaborate about how she\u2019s been feeling.<\/p>\n \u201cBefore I had a child and I would hear people talk about postpartum, it would kind of just go in one ear and out the other. I didn\u2019t realize how serious of a thing it actually was,\u201d she stated. \u201cNow going through it, it almost feels like you\u2019re swimming in this ocean that\u2019s like the biggest waves you\u2019ve ever felt and you\u2019re trying not to drown. And you\u2019re trying to come up for air.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n As she continued, Bailey defined why she was \u201ctriggered\u201d by social media feedback and the way it prompted her to share her expertise.<\/p>\n \u201cI guess today I was just triggered \u2014 especially [since] social media is just not a good thing to be on when you have postpartum \u2014 but I was just really triggered today, especially by seeing some of the things that have been said about me and my family, and the one that I love and the ones that I love.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n Ultimately, the 24-year-old concluded her statements by talking on the significance of giving grace to others \u2014 particularly new moms \u2014.<\/p>\n \u201cEven though you may look up to certain people and you think that they are celebrities, and they appear it have it all together, you never know what somebody else is going through, especially someone who just had a baby literally.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n Bailey has been fairly candid with followers since January. At the time, she and DDG publicly revealed that they’d welcomed their first baby collectively, per The Shade Room<\/a>.<\/p>\n Later that month, the brand new mom returned to social media to share her postpartum physique targets.
