Only three months after their lavish, televised wedding ceremony ceremony, Gerry Turner<\/a> and Theresa Nist<\/a> of the\u00a0Golden Bachelor<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>have introduced their divorce.<\/p>\n

During a Friday look on Good Morning America<\/em>, the ex-couple broke the information about their separation, and mentioned they hope the divorce doesn\u2019t discourage different folks of their 70s from relationship.<\/p>\n

\u201cTheresa and I had a number of heart-to-heart conversations and we\u2019ve looked closely at our situation \u2014 our living situation, and so forth \u2014 and we\u2019ve come to the conclusion mutually that it\u2019s probably time for us to dissolve our marriage,\u201d Turner mentioned.<\/p>\n

Turner, 72, and Nist, 70, sat holding arms throughout the interview. Nist nonetheless wore her wedding ceremony band on her ring finger, which she mentioned she can be returning to Turner.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut we don\u2019t have to give back the memories,\u201d Turner smiled.<\/p>\n

Turner proposed<\/a> to Nist on the Season 1 finale of The Golden Bachelor<\/em>, which aired on Nov. 30.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t think we can tell you how many people told us that [The Golden Bachelor<\/em>] gave them so much hope,\u201d Nist mentioned. \u201cWe want none of that to change for anybody.\u201d<\/p>\n

Still, the couple mentioned, given their ages, they didn’t wish to fake to be in a relationship for the sake of public picture. Turner mentioned each he and Nist are devoted to their households, and the residing in numerous states proved an issue.<\/p>\n
