\n\tOne of the highlights at India\u2019s Cinevesture International Film Festival<\/a> and market was a frank, philosophical on-stage chat between veteran filmmaker Shekhar Kapur<\/a> and his singer-songwriter-composer daughter Kaveri.<\/p>\n \n\tShekhar Kapur is thought for his eclectic oeuvre that spans Indian movies \u201cMasoom\u201d and \u201cMr. India,\u201d hard-hitting biopic \u201cBandit Queen,\u201d the Oscar-winning \u201cElizabeth,\u201d starring Cate Blanchett, \u201cThe Four Feathers,\u201d starring Heath Ledger, and up to date romcom \u201cWhat\u2019s Love Got to Do with It?\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tWhen requested to disclose one thing unknown about himself, Shekhar Kapur spoke about his hidden fears, saying that individuals who suppose he’s cool don\u2019t \u201csee the panic in my head every morning.\u201d <\/p>\n \n\t\u201cFear drives me. I find panic is a huge form of creativity. When I, for example, shoot a film, I plan like a general going to war because you never know where the bullet is coming from. And then when I get to the set\u2026 suddenly, you\u2019re faced with 200 people that say, give us the next shot. I don\u2019t know what to say. Because by that time, I\u2019ve convinced myself that I don\u2019t know,\u201d Kapur stated. \u201cI\u2019ll go to Cate Blanchett and say \u2018What would you like to do?\u2019 and she\u2019ll say, \u2018Shekhar, you\u2019re doing it again. You don\u2019t know, do you?\u2019 \u2018I say no, I\u2019ve no idea what to do. So why don\u2019t you start? And I\u2019ll find out,’\u201d<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cYou can\u2019t plan for that moment because the moment hasn\u2019t happened? How can you plan for that which does not exist. And so the moment has to tell you something,\u201d Shekhar Kapur added. \u201cThere\u2019s constant conversation about \u2013 is anxiety necessary for creativity? Is anxiety necessary for you just to take the next step? I don\u2019t think so.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tThe filmmaker stated that he feels responsible as a result of his daughter went by means of \u201ca lot of anxieties\u201d and that her dad and mom didn\u2019t deal with their separation nicely. <\/p>\n
