Full casting has been introduced for Rebecca Frecknall\u2019s manufacturing of Tennessee Williams\u2019 A Streetcar Named Desire<\/em><\/strong>, which performs on the Almeida Theatre from 10 December 2022 \u2013 4 February 2023.<\/p>\n The solid consists of Paul Mescal<\/strong> (Normal People<\/em>) as Stanley, Anjana<\/strong> Vasan<\/strong> (Summer and Smoke<\/em>, West End) as Stella, and Lydia Wilson<\/strong> (The Duchess of Malfi, <\/em>Almeida) as Blanche.<\/p>\n Completing the solid are Eduardo Ackerman<\/strong>, Ralph Davis<\/strong> (Blue\/Orange<\/em>, Theatre Royal Bath), Janet Etuk<\/strong> (An Improbable Musical<\/em>, Royal & Derngate), Gabriela Garc\u00eda<\/strong> (West Side Story<\/em>, Royal Exchange), Tom Penn<\/strong> (Midnight Movie,<\/em> Royal Court), Jabez Sykes<\/strong> (Rock\/Paper\/Scissors<\/em>, Sheffield Theatres) and Dwane Walcott<\/strong> (Henry V<\/em>, Regent\u2019s Park Open Air Theatre).<\/p>\n When Blanche unexpectedly\u00a0visits her estranged sister Stella, she brings together with her a previous that can threaten their future. As Stella\u2019s husband\u00a0Stanley stalks nearer to the reality, Blanche\u2019s fragile world begins to\u00a0fracture. Reality and phantasm collide and a violent\u00a0battle adjustments their lives eternally.<\/em><\/p>\n The manufacturing has set design by Madeleine Girling, costumes by Merle Hensel, lighting by Lee Curran, sound by Peter Rice, composition by Angus MacRae, and casting by Julia Horan CDG.<\/p>\n
