\n\tBattle died January 30,on the age of 67. A educated ballet dancer who studied on the famend Jones-Haywood School of Ballet in Washington, D.C. and School of American Ballet in New York City, Battle started his Broadway profession on the age of 18 starring as the unique \u201cScarecrow\u201d within the 1975 musical The Wiz<\/em>. <\/p>\n\n\tHe would go on to carry out in a few of Broadway\u2019s most memorable roles for the following twenty years.
