Allison Holker<\/strong><\/a> is embracing this full-circle second. The professional dancer, 36, is likely one of the new So You Think You Can Dance<\/em> judges for season 18, which premieres on March 4. Allison\u2019s first look on So You Think You Can Dance<\/em> was as a contestant in 2006 when she was simply 18 years previous. Now, she\u2019s again on the judges\u2019 desk.<\/p>\n

\u201cI did not know how incredible it was going to be to sit at the actual judges\u2019 table,\u201d Allison instructed Hollywood Life<\/strong> completely. \u201cI was a little nervous. At first, I was like, well, I want to be out there as one of the dancers, standing next to the dancers, because that\u2019s what I was more used to. Being on the judges\u2019 panel has just been a new resurgence for me. It\u2019s been something I\u2019m so grateful for, and I\u2019m so honored. It\u2019s already something I can\u2019t even fully express in words how grateful I am for it. It\u2019s been so wonderful.\u201d<\/p>\n

Allison\u2019s return to So You Think You Can Dance<\/em> is bringing again unbelievable recollections of her time on the present years in the past. SYTYCD<\/em> is likely one of the many chapters of Allison and Stephen \u201ctWitch\u201d Boss\u2019<\/strong><\/a> lovely love story. Allison and tWitch crossed paths whereas competing on the present and later married in 2013.\u00a0 The dancer admitted that coming again to So You Think You Can Dance<\/em> has been a \u201cgreat opportunity\u201d to maneuver ahead within the wake of her husband\u2019s dying<\/a> in 2022.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think it\u2019s really good for me,\u201d she instructed Hollywood Life<\/strong>. \u201cIt\u2019s a really great step for my healing journey and being able to connect with someone I love so much. We can share this beautiful moment, and I can honor him. But also for myself, it was a way for me to step forward and pivot myself to who I am now and what am I going to do with my future. It\u2019s been a really great opportunity that So You Think [You Can Dance]<\/em> gave me to step into the next chapter of my life as well.\u201d<\/p>\n

Allison is a choose alongside Maks Chmerkovskiy<\/strong><\/a> and JoJo Siwa<\/strong><\/a>. The mom-of-three opened up about why they\u2019re the right judging trio for season 18. \u201cI worked with Max on Dancing With the Stars<\/em><\/a>. He\u2019s so lovely. We\u2019ve been friends for years,\u201d Allison started. \u201cHe\u2019s such a specific personality but in a great way. You know exactly what he thinks. He tells you how it is. He tells you what he needs, and I love that from someone. And then JoJo, I have been around her a couple of times, but we\u2019ve never really known each other. Now we know each other so well. It\u2019s so crazy. We\u2019ve only known each other for a couple of days, but we vibe so hard together. I love her. I\u2019m obsessed.\u201d<\/p>\n

The professional dancer revealed that there are \u201cmajor changes\u201d in season 18. \u201cThe contestants are actually going to be filmed in their living spaces a little bit and just showing a little bit more,\u201d she mentioned. \u201cIt\u2019s not crazy, totally evasive really, but a little bit more behind the scenes emotionally outside of just their performances.\u201d Allison added that the challenges are \u201cnot just duet-based like they were in the past. Now they\u2019re really based on career choices that you might make as a dancer. There\u2019s going to be different challenges more focused on if you were to make a Broadway show, if you were to make a music video, if you were to be cast in a movie. The challenges vary and are very different than what was ever seen on the show before, which I think is so exciting and so wonderful, and it\u2019s already going so well.\u201d<\/p>\n

In addition to So You Think You Can Dance<\/em>, Allison was a notable professional dancer on Dancing With the Stars<\/em> for 4 seasons. Given her SYTYCD<\/em> return, would Allison be open to being a DWTS<\/em> professional once more sooner or later?<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s not that I would ever say no. You can\u2019t say no to that,\u201d she instructed Hollywood Life<\/strong>. \u201cBut just right now it\u2019s not on the table. I haven\u2019t been asked. If the right partner came about, if the right storyline came about as far as like, does it make sense for me, and also timing-wise it makes sense, I would absolutely do it again. But right now it\u2019s not really on the table.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
