\n\tTaraji P. Henson<\/a> is opening up about her time filming The Color Purple<\/a><\/em> and is criticizing that manufacturing had the forged drive themselves to the set.<\/p>\n \n\tIn a brand new interview, the Empire alum revealed that producers of the movie gave the forged rental automobiles to take themselves to the set of the manufacturing. However, Henson mentioned she fought to get a driver because of it being an \u201cinsurance liability.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cThey gave us rental cars, and I was like, \u2018I can\u2019t drive myself to set in Atlanta.\u2019 This is insurance liability, it\u2019s dangerous. Now they robbing people,\u201d Henson recalled throughout an interview with The New York Times<\/em>. \u201cWhat do I look like, taking myself to work by myself in a rental car? So I was like, \u2018Can I get a driver or security to take me?\u2019 I\u2019m not asking for the moon. They\u2019re like, \u2018Well, if we do it for you, we got to do it for everybody.’\u201d <\/p>\n \n\tShe continued, \u201cWell, do it for everybody! It\u2019s stuff like that, stuff I shouldn\u2019t have to fight for. I was on the set of Empire<\/em> fighting for trailers that wasn\u2019t infested with bugs.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tHenson famous that these conditions put on on her soul \u201cbecause\u00a0you fight so hard to establish a name for yourself and be respected in this town to no avail.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cWith Black films, they just don\u2019t want to take us overseas and I don\u2019t understand that,\u201d she added. \u201cBlack translates all over the world, so why wouldn\u2019t the movies? I have a following in China of all places. Y\u2019all not going to capitalize on that? Don\u2019t everybody want to make money here? I\u2019m not the person that pulls the race card every time, but what else is it, then? Tell me. I\u2019d rather it not be race, please give me something else.\u201d<\/p>\n
