\n\tSteven Yeun<\/a> is talking out about his departure from Marvel\u2019s \u201cThunderbolts<\/a>.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\tWhile celebrating the opening of the Louis Vuitton pop-up in West Hollywood on Wednesday night time, Yeun spoke to Variety<\/em>\u2018s Marc Malkin about his \u201cThunderbolts\u201d exit, citing the SAG-AFTRA strike as one motive behind his determination to drop out of the upcoming antihero movie. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI think for me, time passing and things shifting kind of pulled me out of it,\u201d Yeun defined. \u201cBut Jake [Schreier], I know, is going to do an incredible job.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI wanna do a Marvel movie,\u201d he added. <\/p>\n

\n\tYeun\u2019s involvement in \u201cThunderbolts\u201d was first reported again in February, although Marvel by no means formally confirmed his casting. \u201cPaper Towns\u201d director Jake Schreier is helming the movie, with\u00a0\u201cBeef\u201d creator Lee Sung Jin<\/a>\u00a0penning the script from a primary draft by \u201cBlack Widow\u201d screenwriter Eric Pearson.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThunderbolts\u201d\u00a0paused manufacturing in May<\/a>\u00a0as a result of WGA strike, and has but to start filming following the top of final 12 months\u2019s twin Hollywood strikes.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cIt took a lot of drafts on email to make sure that I conveyed sincerity of how sorry I was to have to back out,\u201d Yeun stated. <\/p>\n

\n\tAsked what Marvel film he wish to work on sooner or later, Yeun replied, \u201cI think it\u2019s too early to say that. I probably pissed off too many people leaving, so I\u2019m just gonna say, \u2018Thank you for having me.’\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI have some ideas,\u201d Yeun teased. \u201cBut I heard if you put it out there, you\u2019ll never get it, so I\u2019ll keep it close to my chest.\u201d<\/p>\n
