Hayley Erbert <\/b><\/a>ended 2023 on a troublesome notice, however that isn\u2019t stopping her from pushing forward. The 29-year-old professional dancer penned an Instagram<\/a> notice on December 31 alongside a montage video of the perfect moments from final 12 months. One of the moments from the clip was taken at her marriage ceremony with husband Derek Hough<\/b><\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201c2023 was a year of the highest of highs and some life-changing moments,\u201d Hayley captioned her publish. \u201cI\u2019m so grateful for the people in my life that have stood by me through it ALL. Cheers to a beautiful new year of new adventures, lots of love and so much more life to live.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Hayley\u2019s publish got here lower than a month after she was rushed to the hospital proper after her and Derek, 38, carried out in Washington D.C. for his or her Symphony of Dance<\/i> tour.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cAt the end of last night\u2019s tour performance in Washington, D.C., my wife Hayley became disoriented and was taken to the hospital,\u201d Derek wrote by way of Instagram in early December. \u201cShe was diagnosed with a cranial hematoma from a burst blood vessel and required an emergency craniectomy. She is in stable condition. I want to thank the first responders and medical personnel who have cared for and continue to care for her. I ask for your prayers and positivity during this time.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

A cranial hematoma is attributable to a burst blood vessel within the mind and might result in signs resembling headache, vomiting, drowsiness and dizziness, per Mayo Clinic.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Fortunately, Hayley has been recovering nicely<\/a> following her surgical procedure, her husband identified in a separate Instagram message. On December 15, days following her operation, the Dancing With the Stars<\/em> decide shared a video<\/a> of him and Hayley strolling collectively, whereas she wore a helmet on her head.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cAs you all know, the past week has been a challenging journey for us due to a life-threatening event that suddenly came into our lives,\u201d Derek started in his caption. \u201cIt was a time filled with uncertainty and fear, going from living our dreams onstage, to a nightmare in an instant. But today, we are filled with hope and relief as we share with you an update. Hayley is doing well. Her recovery process has been nothing short of a miracle.\u201d<\/p>\n

Derek additionally famous that Hayley has to bear a separate surgical procedure \u201cto insert a skull implant to replace the piece that was removed during the craniectomy,\u201d which can \u201crestore the skull to its natural shape and protect the brain from injury.\u201d \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s been a profound reminder of how fragile life can be and how quickly things can change,\u201d he continued. \u201cBut, it has also shown us the incredible strength and resilience that lies within us and the power of having a supportive community around us.\u00a0 <\/span>We cannot express enough gratitude to each of you for your unwavering support, messages, prayers and undeniable loving energy we have both felt during this time. While this isn\u2019t the holiday season either of us envisioned, it\u2019s one that we\u2019re incredibly grateful to have.
