With his power and towering presence, Jessup\u2019s mentality from the get-go was to maintain Lucy Gray protected. He by no means acted like a possible victor, only a protector.<\/p>\n Hollywood Life<\/strong> spoke completely with Nick Benson<\/strong><\/a> about his position as Jessup. In the movie, Jessup develops rabies after being bitten by a bat on the prepare to Panem. He goes after Lucy Gray within the area and falls to his dying. As a bigger dude, I\u2019m sure I\u2019d feel the responsibility of making sure she\u2019s okay since we have that allyship.\u201d<\/p>\n Nick addressed whether or not or not Jessup would have been able to killing Lucy throughout the Games if it had come all the way down to the 2 of them. \u201cI don\u2019t know if he could. Genuinely. I don\u2019t think he could go through with that,\u201d the actor admitted.<\/p>\n The Big Shot<\/em> alum revealed that he auditioned for Jessup and Reaper from District 11. I actually know there are a couple of moments where it wasn\u2019t very difficult to feel like you were in the Hunger Games. I had to check where the exits were to make sure I could get out.\u201d<\/p>\n Fans of the film, Suzanne Collins\u2019<\/strong> bestselling prequel, have debated for years whether or not or not Coriolanus ever really cherished Lucy Gray Baird<\/a>. Nick gave his two cents on the \u201ccontentious\u201d romance.<\/p>\n \u201cI think he had never met a girl like her before in his life, so there was definitely an infatuation for sure,\u201d Nick mentioned. \u201cI think within that there could have been the sort of love that he felt or something that he thinks is love, but especially the part where they talk about trust, Lucy\u2019s like, \u2018Trust is everything to me. If there\u2019s no trust, it\u2019s dead.\u2019 That\u2019s such a good scene, and I feel like that\u2019s what you see him falter a little bit. He\u2019s in a little too deep. I don\u2019t know if it\u2019s more love. I think he may get caught up because her character is very enticing.
