\u201cSo many women have been raised \u2014 at least in my generation \u2014 to think there\u2019s something wrong with themselves, or that the vagina is weird or gross or something to be ashamed of. And so the candle was supposed to be a very strong, punk rock kind of \u2018F you\u2019 to anyone who ever made us feel like that.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

We completely get the assertion she meant<\/em> to make. But this is the reason you might have second drafts.
