The filmmaker is opening up about the place he stands on the notion of retiring and if he would ever make one other superhero film.<\/p>\n \n\tDuring a latest interview, Nolan was requested about his future in filmmaking and the way he sees himself within the years forward. On one facet, Quentin Tarantino mentioned he could be retiring following his tenth movie, whereas Martin Scorsese has continued making movies into his 80s however not too long ago acknowledged he\u2019s getting older.<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cThe truth is, I understand both points of view. It\u2019s addictive to tell stories in cinema. It\u2019s a lot of hard work, but it\u2019s very fun. It\u2019s something you feel driven to do, and so it\u2019s a little hard to imagine voluntarily stopping,\u201d Nolan mentioned throughout an interview on CinemaBlend\u2019s<\/em> podcast ReelBlend<\/a><\/em>. \u201cBut I also see \u2026 Quentin\u2019s point has always been that \u2013 and he never, very graciously, he\u2019s never specific about the films he\u2019s talking about or whatever \u2013 but he\u2019s looking at some of the work done by filmmakers in later years and feeling that if it can\u2019t live up to the heyday, it would be better if it didn\u2019t exist. And I think that\u2019s a very purest point of view. It\u2019s the point of view of a cinephile who prizes film history.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tNolan mentioned that he\u2019s not fully \u201csure that I would trust my own sense of the absolute value of a piece of work to know whether or not it should have been brought into existence.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tThe Interstellar<\/em> director mentioned he\u2019s a \u201cbig fan\u201d of movies that don\u2019t at all times \u201cfully achieve what they try to\u201d and provides, \u201cI think (I) wanted to keep a sort of perfect reputation of something, but also kind of don\u2019t want to take anything off the table.\u201d<\/p>\n
