Alan Arkin<\/a>, the American actor who received an Oscar for his position as a heroin-using grandpa within the film Little Miss Sunshine<\/em>, has died. He was 89.<\/p>\n

In an announcement by Arkin\u2019s publicist, his sons, Adam, Matthew and Anthony, mentioned: \u201cOur father was a uniquely talented force of nature, both as an artist and a man. A loving husband, father, grand and great grandfather, he was adored and will be deeply missed.\u201d<\/p>\n

Arkin was identified for his decades-long performing profession on each the stage and display screen.<\/p>\n
