In April, digital pop producer George Clanton launched \u201cI Been Young<\/a>,\u201d his first monitor since 2021\u2019s \u201cFucking Up My Life<\/a>.\u201d Today, Clanton has introduced a brand new album, Ooh Rap I Ya<\/em>, coming July 28 and that includes visitor spots from Hatchie and Neggy Gemmy. He\u2019s additionally sharing a single from the file referred to as \u201cJustify Your Life.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cFollowing my trajectory established with my previous single \u2018I Been Young,\u2019 it\u2019s a conscious attempt at making Grown Up Music about self-realization,\u201d Clanton reveals to Stereogum of the monitor in an electronic mail. <\/p>\n He provides:<\/p>\n Softer than my earlier efforts, however with an anthemic refrain. I really feel like Liam Gallagher with this tune, however nobody I share it with will get \u201coasis\u201d so I suppose I don\u2019t perceive the way it comes throughout. I feel it’s attention-grabbing to notice that whereas the takeaway of my final tune (and sure this one\u2026) is that I\u2019m doing a little type of 90s pastiche, that was not the intention in any respect. I really feel like I\u2019m simply persevering with the model and ideas I developed on my final full-length \u201cSlide.\u201d and naturally I do like 90s music lots.
