Williams<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>has a crystal-clear message for individuals critiquing her latest commentary about \u201cthe bigotry of low expectations\u201d amongst Black males: \u201cI said what I said!\u201d<\/p>\n On Thursday, the commentator and\u00a0Real Housewives of New York City\u00a0<\/em>alum appeared on\u00a0The Breakfast Club<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>to handle the state of affairs.<\/p>\n After explaining her commentary and interesting in a back-and-forth with DJ Envy<\/strong><\/a> in regards to the affect of her statements, Williams dished on how she prioritizes information over emotions.<\/p>\n \u201cMore than I care about hurt feelings, I care about providing my people with facts and information that say that the current way of life for the majority of Black Americans is not serving us.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n After reiterating that she\u2019s \u201cgoing off of the data and the facts,\u201d she spoke on \u201cthe current positioning of Black America.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cIf y\u2019all are okay with the current positioning of Black America, that we [have] the lowest income, the lowest home ownership, the lowest-educated group, then so be it.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n She added,\u00a0\u201cI\u2019m not okay with it, so that is why I said what I said about addressing the bigotry of low expectations.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Williams proclaimed that, whereas she understands individuals\u2019s anger, \u201csomebody has got to start telling the truth.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI am naming it\u2026I\u2019m acknowledging the pain, but somebody has got to start telling the truth to our people.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n After this interview, Williams saved the dialog happening Instagram<\/a>.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Beneath an add, Williams acknowledged that \u2014 no matter individuals\u2019s stances \u2014 she is aware of \u201cour culture NEEDS this conversation.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cBaby, what I know for sure is that our culture NEEDS this conversation.\u2063\u00a0No matter your position or how this convo makes you feel we have GOT to reckon with the strata of these issues within the Black community now\u2026or deal with consequences later.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n She wrapped up by including, \u201cPlease keep the convo going in the comments.\u201d<\/p>\n The dialog initially began throughout a sit-down between Williams and\u00a0Iyanla Vanzant<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>on TheGrio<\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n After Williams talked about how profitable Black ladies can really feel as if out there males are \u201cnot earning\u201d or \u201cshowing up in the leadership\u201d sufficient, Vanzant requested if she would \u201cdate a bus driver.\u201d<\/p>\n In flip, Williams proclaimed that she would solely accomplish that \u201cif he owns the bus.\u201d<\/p>\n Upon receiving some on-line backlash over her statements, Williams tapped in and clarified that \u2014 reasonably than placing down working-class individuals \u2014 she\u2019s truly \u201cpouring into the ascension of Black men.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI am actually speaking and pouring into the ascension of Black men when I said what I said.\u00a0But no, some of y\u2019all were too busy naming and shaming me personally, and Black women in general, as undesirable golddiggers.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n The commentator unapologetically famous that, whereas many could also be used to their \u201cmediocrity\u201d being praised, she personally doesn\u2019t assist \u201cthe bigotry of low expectations.\u201d<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n \u201cAverage is not and will never be good enough for me.
